Why I want to be like Don Jazzy, Olamide – Joeboy

In a recent episode of the Afrobeats Intelligence Podcast hosted by Joey Akan, popular singer Joeboy expressed his desire to emulate the success of industry stalwarts Don Jazzy and Olamide.

Joeboy admires the duo not only for their accomplishments as artists but also for their roles as successful music executives, creating opportunities for others in the industry.

The singer, who recently left Mr Eazi’s Empawa and launched his own record label, Young Legend, shared his excitement about the future.

Joeboy emphasized that his goal goes beyond financial success; he aspires to follow in the footsteps of Don Jazzy and Olamide by creating his own path in the music industry and providing platforms for others to achieve success.

“I am so super excited about what is to come because one thing I always used to say to my friends then is that I want to be a combination of Don Jazzy and Olamide. Because it’s one thing to come into the game and create your own wave, and then help others and facilitate a lot more waves. It’s not even about the money; it’s about the fact that I can say I helped people,” Joeboy shared during the podcast.
